LinkedIn this month showcased its AI-powered features for users, like AI-generated writing assistance, and a bot assistant for its premium users to navigate the site, spruce up their profiles, and find the perfect next job.

But the professional networking site also announced new features to improve the experience for recruiters using its LinkedIn Recruiter platform, and how they can improve the recruiting experience.

New AI features will address the drudgery of recruiting to allow TA pros to spend more time doing what they do best: networking and building relationships with potential employers. Early adopters are already reaping the benefits, according to the company.

LinkedIn’s new AI-assisted messages, for instance, offer TA pros a hand when crafting InMail messages to potential candidates. The AI helps tailor the message to each candidate based on their profile.

Messages in InMail written with an AI assist were accepted 40% more than those not touched by AI, providing a significant boost to recruiters’ opening salvos. AI-assisted messages also saw an over 10% faster acceptance than those without the assistance of AI, according to the company. The LinkedIn analysis was based on global platform data, and only included InMail acceptances that were received within 30 days, according to the company.

The new features for LinkedIn Recruiter also include a job description writing tool and a search feature that relies on natural language when mining for that perfect candidate. This feature doesn’t require a doctorate degree in Boolean search to use. Recruiters can simply search for what they’re looking for.

Zoom out. LinkedIn’s CPO Tomer Cohen told TechCrunch last week that the company has been building out its AI features since 2007. LinkedIn has been actively rolling out new AI-enabled features since October 2023.

HR Brew reported on the site’s launch of its AI tool that helps job-seekers assess how well their experience matches a job opening. The company in March announced a new tool to connect internal candidates to openings as well as learning opportunities within their organization to upskill and grow their careers.

LinkedIn is also leveraging AI to bolster the L&D experience. Its LinkedIn Learning platform now offers users AI chats within courses. It is also piloting an expert-advice experience with some of its instructors.
