Recruiting and applicant tracking system (ATS) software provider iCIMS is partnering with ZipRecruiter, an online employment marketplace, to improve the recruitment process and help TA pros hire faster.
Talent pros using iCIMS Apply Network will now be able to tap into ZipRecruiter’s network of 12 million weekly job-seekers. The integration is free to existing iCIMS customers.
“One of the best things we can do to get people hired is to reduce the friction from the time that they are aware of an open requisition to the time that the recruiter and the candidate are actually engaging and having a meaningful conversation,” Matt Plummer, SVP of product strategy at ZipRecruiter, told HR Brew. “For a job-seeker who has invested time in building a profile on ZipRecruiter, they’re able to use that profile…to simplify that application process…and it allows the recruiters to stay in the platform.”
TA professionals can activate the integration in their iCIMS Apply interface, and direct job openings right to ZipRecruiter. ZipRecruiter job-seekers can use their existing profile to apply for the job.
The partnership addresses “job-seeker drop-off,” when applicants abandon an application after having to go to another site and reenter information they’ve already submitted.
“I always think of customers bringing candidates into the hiring process through multiple different front doors. That might be job boards, it might be career sites. It might be through APIs coming from other systems, and you know, the folks trying to manage the experience for the candidate have a pretty big job ahead of them,” iCIMS CTO Al Smith told us. “They’re all different experiences, depending on which front door you came in.”
Zoom out. The new partnership between ZipRecruiter and iCIMS reflects a growing effort to build seamless integrations across systems, helping to shrink the number of logins and open tabs on the talent professional’s desktop.
Last August, ZipRecruiter partnered with UKG to release an integration with UKG Pro.
Smith said iCIMS is building a “new class of APIs” for “front doors” like ZipRecruiter, where candidates can create a profile and sift through job openings. The goal is to connect those seamlessly to the iCIMS ATS for a more unified experience.
“That allows partners like Zip to basically manage the candidate experience smoothly, cohesively, with all the value add they bring, but yet the employer gets to be the system of record and truth with the ATS, and…no matter which front door somebody came in, the candidates [have] a good experience.”
