We’re rolling out a new tech series: Tech you love. We’ll check in with HR pros about the programs, applications, and software they’re using to make a tough job a bit easier. This month, we’ve learned that a good mix of classic tech and intuitive HRIS and surveying tools can help get the job done.

Mandi Spindler, talent director, Ulteig

Glint is an HR tech platform that has made it easier to gather employee feedback and activate responses more seamlessly. Its pulse survey feature allows our team to conduct regular check-ins and gather immediate feedback from employees. We can quickly analyze survey results and make data-driven decisions with real-time analytics and reporting capabilities within the platform. Glint supports action planning and follow-up by prompting each manager with their top strengths and top areas of opportunity, focusing on areas that have the greatest impact on engagement. Overall, the Glint program promotes continuous improvement within our organization by enabling ongoing monitoring and measurement of employee engagement. It makes it easy to identify areas of opportunity and understand employee comments so we can implement changes with employee feedback at the forefront of decision-making.

Kate Cook, senior recruiter, Wolters Kluwer

I am old school. I still use paper checks to pay my bills. So, I know a lot of people won’t love this answer, but I do really love my Excel sheet. I made it years ago and have brought it with me to every TA job I’ve had. It’s so easy to keep track of absolutely everything. I love it.

Jen Fong, VP of people, Customer.io

We recently implemented a new HR system called HiBob, which has made managing all things people-related much easier! HiBob is a platform that simplifies the management of different HR-related tasks, including time off, sick days, and holidays. It also helps organize various documents, employee events, activities, and more. HiBob has helped to streamline and automate our HR processes and tasks, making them much easier to manage. So far, I have been impressed with it!

Melanie Naranjo, VP of people, Ethena

Gotta give all the props to Namely for having a great HRIS platform that offers so many customization options while consistently rolling out new product updates to keep up with people needs.

LoriAnn Penman, director of HR, TTC

Google! I know I don’t have to explain why. We don’t have to remember all the facts and details we memorized for the SPHR exam, now you just Google it, and free your mind up to create and innovate!
