Cue Paolo Nutini (he’s still popular, right?), because some HR pros may be getting some new shoes as they step into bigger roles.
Robert Half. The recruiting firm recently promoted Susan Haseley to head of ESG and DE&I. Haseley’s been with Robert Half for more than 20 years, working in the company’s consulting subsidiary Protiviti. Her new role extends and scales the DE&I efforts she made at Protiviti, where she launched 11 employee network groups.
Hearst. Rachel Kay, who joined Hearst in 2019, has been promoted to Hearst’s first chief people officer. Under this newly created role, she’ll lead company strategy and oversee all HR-related decisions, according to a press release. Kay previously spent 12 years with McKinsey & Company, where she handled various talent functions and reported directly to the firm’s CPO.
REI. The outdoor retailer has recruited Apple Musni to serve as its new chief people officer, according to an announcement by the company. She brings nearly two decades of HR experience with her, previously holding HR roles at retailers including Target, McDonald’s, and most recently, Chipotle.
The New York Giants. Completing a talent-winning pass, the New York Giants recently created a DE&I role, naming Celeste Bell to the position. Bell previously spent more than a decade in HR roles at Major League Baseball, and most recently served as the head of HR at Deutsch NY, an advertising firm.
