Tammy Thieman is the director of Career Development Programs at Amazon. During her six-year tenure at Amazon, Tammy has focused on upskilling initiatives including launching Amazon’s first Department of Labor-registered Apprenticeship program, which builds technical skills for Amazon Web Services (AWS), and initiatives to support veteran hiring in tech. She currently leads Career Choice, one of the ten upskilling programs under Amazon's Upskilling 2025 pledge. Career Choice has reached over 130,000 participants since the program launched over ten years ago, and in the past year, the language programs have been our fastest-growing global offering within the program.
